Plason Contact Dermatitis.pdf
For more than two decades the patient has suffered from contact dermatitis, stigmatizing palms of the hands particularly.
The contact dermatitis of hands has been manifested in the patient by severe skin cracks, which led to bleeding. The major allergens were mainly jewelry metals, fragrances, cosmetic ingredients.
Contact Dermatitis (CD) includes both Allergic and Irritant Contact Dermatitis and is characterized by a chronic course with relapses upon contact with allergens or irritants [1].
On the palms of the hands, we applied NO-therapy by PLASON device. We have used red manipulator with high plasma flow. On every hand we have blowed nitric oxide generated by PLASON device, 5 minutes on each palm from 5-7 cm distance, moving across the whole surface of the palm. The response of the skin was enormously fast. After the fourth NO application the quality of skin of the patient was significantly improved and in two weeks the skin cracks and allergic syndromes disappeared.
